Privacy

Nothing is collected

Endwhile has no account, no server and no analytics. There is nowhere for your data to be sent, because nothing is sent anywhere.

Last updated 1 October 2026.

What it stores

Your settings, and only your settings: which sites are switched on, which options are ticked, and any schedule you set. They are kept in the browser's own extension storage. If you have Chrome sync turned on, Chrome syncs them between your own signed-in browsers, the same way it syncs your bookmarks. That transfer is between you and Google. The developer has no access to it and no copy of it.

Uninstalling the extension removes that storage.

What it never does

No browsing history

It never records, stores or transmits the pages you visit. The decision about a page is made in your browser, at the moment you open it, and nothing about it is kept afterwards.

No page content

It does not read the text of your videos, posts, messages or comments. It acts on the address of the page and on hiding elements, not on what is written in them.

No accounts or identifiers

There is no sign-up, no login, no email address, no device identifier and no advertising ID. Nothing distinguishes one installation from another.

No analytics, no sale of data

There is no telemetry, no crash reporting and no third-party analytics. Nothing is sold, rented or shared, because nothing is gathered in the first place.

The two permissions

·

storage

Saves the settings described above. It is the only thing written anywhere.

activeTab

Lets the popup see which site the current tab is on, so it can show you that site's options instead of all of them. The address is read when you click the toolbar icon, used to pick a panel, and never stored or sent.

which panel to show

The one third party

The extension has two ways to support it: the Support button in the popup, and a support page linked from its settings. Only if you open one of them is a Ko-fi donation panel loaded from ko-fi.com. At that point Ko-fi receives a normal web request from your browser and their own privacy policy applies to it. Until you do, nothing contacts Ko-fi and no request is made.

Any payment you choose to make happens entirely on Ko-fi. The extension never sees a name, an email address, a card number or an amount.

If you send a message

This part is about the website, not the extension. The help page has a form for reporting problems and sharing ideas. When you press Send, what you typed is stored in Google Firebase so the developer can read it in the Firebase console: the topic, which site it's about, your message, your email address if you chose to add one, and the time it was sent. A copy of the same details is emailed to the developer's own Gmail inbox, so messages get read promptly. Nothing else is attached, and there is no tracking.

Only the developer can read these messages. Your email is used only to reply to you. Messages are deleted once they have been dealt with. If you'd like yours deleted sooner, send another message asking, from the same email.

Questions

The extension is distributed with its full source readable, so every claim here can be checked against the code rather than taken on trust. If something is unclear, raise it and this page will be corrected.
